15th ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC
Former NY Mets and Yankees legend DARRYL STRAWBERRY and former NY Giants “Crunch Bunch” great, BRIAN KELLEY  attended the New Views 15th Annual Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Black Bear Golf Club in Franklin, NJ.

Registration began at 8am with a light breakfast. Lunch, green fees, golf cart and lots of other goodies were included in the $150 entry fee. A Hole In One challenge to win a brand new car, and many opportunities to test your skills and win prizes was just the beginning! The luncheon was followed by an auction featuring signed sports memorabilia and other collectibles, a weekend in Vermont, jewelry, gift certificates to restaurants and many other exciting items.

   Tom Wicks receives NJAMHA's 2009 Courage to Change Award
Tom Wicks, founder and former Executive Director of New Views, was the recipient of this years Courage to Change Award. This award is one of five categories under the Courage & Compassion Awards, for which NJAMHA selects individuals to be recipients each year.  Tom's vision, dedication, and creativity have improved the standards of care for those with mental illness and substance abuse.  These qualities and traits are what make Tom stand out as someone deserving to be honored.  The award was presented at the Courage and Compassion Awards Dinner on April 28, 2009.

yours; that progress with growth is possible."

New Views is a non-profit agency established to provide a variety of services for the population who suffer from an overlay of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as severe chronic mental illness.  The program is multi-disciplinary and incorporates the AA/NA Model of Recovery.

The program is funded by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health Services.  New Views serves as a resource to community mental health centers, substance abuse treatment programs and a variety of other services in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren Counties.    

    

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the New Views Treatment Program is to offer clinical treatment to persons with a concurrent diagnoses of co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders while providing education and technical assistance to counseling professionals and community agencies.
